Thiruvananthapuram: Reiterating its commitment to provide seamless domestic air connectivity, IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing airline, has announced additional flights between Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram from February 20. The expansion is in sync with IndiGo’s organic growth and in response to the growing demand on its existing routes. While 6E 0507 will depart from Chennai at 5:25 and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 6:50, flight 6E 0513’s departure from Thiruvananthapuram is at 7:20 and arrival in Chennai at 8:40.
The airline recently became the first Indian airline to fly 1000 flights daily and the introduction of additional frequencies in a span of a few days is a fitting testimony to its commitment to building India’s largest airline network. The company recently announced the introduction of ATR aircraft to its fleet and four new destinations - Colombo, Vijaywada, Rajahmundry and Tirupati – to its network.
Speaking about the latest network expansion, Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo said, “We are absolutely delighted to begin the year with yet another announcement to provide better experience and connectivity to our customers through these additional frequencies. With soaring demand on these sectors, we are hopeful that these flights will prove to be popular among our customers.”
