TiEcon Kerala 2019 to be Held on October 4 and 5
The two-day conference will feature more than 60 eminent speakers and over 50 concurrent sessions in five parallel tracks
The eighth edition of Kerala’s largest conference on entrepreneurship, TiEcon Kerala 2019, will be held on October 4 and 5 at Le Meridien, Kochi. Dubbed as Kerala’s largest entrepreneurs’ convention with a global perspective, TiEcon Kerala’s latest edition will feature entrepreneurs from across the world.
Building a sustainable business model in the digital world is a key challenge. It is in this context that TiE Kerala has selected the theme of TiEcon Kerala 2019 as ‘Winning Strategies: Leading in a Sustainable and Digital World.’
“The conference will provide a platform for Kerala’s business leaders to meet successful entrepreneurs, angel investors, VCs and like-minded people with similar backgrounds and objectives, and share ideas, concepts, challenges and initiatives with them. About 2000 delegates mostly CEOs of SMEs and professionals are expected to participate in the event which facilitates extensive networking for the participants,” said M S A Kumar, President, TiE Kerala.

As a prelude to the event, several mini-conferences are being organised under multiple verticals at different locations. Capital Café 2019, a Startup Pitching Competition, was held on August 21 at Le Meridien, Kochi. Participants were able to network and earn mentorships from senior industry professionals. Agripreneur 2019, yet another event, was held at Hotel Windsor Castle in Kottayam which saw the coming together of agriculture experts and innovators from across the globe with a focus on ‘farm business’.
‘Designcon 2019’ a one-day conference conceptualised with the desire to create outstanding design possibilities, connecting all genres of creative people, will be held at Karaparamba GHSS in Kozhikode on September 28 and 29. “This would be the first design conference of its kind in Kerala. The meet would help kindle creativity to challenge convention, spur innovation and discover original solutions which render unique designs,” Ajit Moopan, President-Designate, TiE Kerala said.
‘Women in Business 2019’ a one-day programme aimed at fostering women entrepreneurship will be held at Hotel Monsoon Empress, Palarivattom, Kochi on September 21. It will provide the learning needed for women entrepreneurs to grow and lead in a digital world.
TiE Kerala Awards
TiE Kerala Annual Awards for entrepreneurs in different categories will be presented at a gala function to be held along with TiEcon 2019. The award categories are Startup Entrepreneur of the Year, Social Entrepreneur of the Year, Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Friend of Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur of the Year, Homepreneur of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
