Thiruvananthapuram: Senior officials from KINFRA attended the 12th edition of Annapoorna World of Food India, the international trade fair and conference for the food and beverage industry held in Mumbai recently. The event was inaugurated by Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries. KINFRA, in association with KSIDC and K-BIP, sponsored the Kerala Pavilion. Twenty-three food processing companies from Kerala exhibited their products and capabilities at the pavilion. The companies included, Dinesh Foods, Peejay Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd., SatBions Food & Additives Pvt. Ltd., Abhaya Food Industries, Kozhikoden’s Bakers & Exporters, Western India Cashew Company Pvt. Ltd., Keratech Coconut Oil Manufacturing Co. Pvt. Ltd., Saico Spices, Milma and Kalady Rice Millers Consortium.
K N Satheesh IAS, Director of Industries was one of the three panel members in the seminar on ‘Investment Opportunities in the Food Processing Sector & Unravelling Global Food Trade.’ Wg. Cdr. K A Santhosh Kumar, Managing Director, KINFRA made a presentation on ‘Agro and Food Processing Sector of Kerala’, highlighting the opportunities for investing in Kerala and the State’s strengths in food processing. The event gave the Kerala delegation an opportunity to visit stalls set up by participants from various parts of the country as well as abroad displaying a diverse range of products and services. KINFRA officials, who highlighted the upcoming Mega Food Park at Palakkad, also held exclusive interactive sessions with business delegations from Czechoslovakia and Argentina.
