Aster Group to Set Up 500-bed Super Specialty Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Aster DM Healthcare, the Gulf-based healthcare group with more than 300 institutions under its belt, is setting up a 500-bed super specialty hospital in the State Capital.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of the healthcare conglomerate, announced his plans after meeting Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here the other day. He also met State Health Minister K K Shylaja and Tourism Minister A C Moideen and discussed his plans.
“Considering the investor-friendly attitude of the government, we are pleased to announce multiple investments of around Rs. 600 cr in Kerala in various projects in three years. The flagship investment will be in a greenfield 500-bed super specialty hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.’’
The group had recently announced two new projects, a 250-bed multi-specialty hospital in Kannur and a 300-bed super specialty hospital in Kozhikode.
Established in 1987, Aster currently operates in nine countries, covering an array of healthcare verticals, including clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and a modern medical city with a cluster of specialty hospitals in Kochi, under ASTER, MEDCARE, ACCESS, ASTER Medcity and ASTER MIMS brands.
