Thrissur: Hitting the right notes to usher in the message of social responsibility, owner/CEOs of various firms donned the role of singers at the fourth edition of CCKK (CEOs Croon for Kerala Kids), a unique business networking event with a social responsibility theme, held in Thrissur on February 23. This edition of CCKK was aimed at raising awareness about Darsanaveedu, an inclusive education centre in Thrissur run by the Devamatha CMI Province providing education and accommodation to differently-abled children. The unique gathering – an elite audience of over 100 entrepreneurs, business associates and families – turned out to be an evening filled with music, fun, nostalgia and bonhomie.
The star singers of the evening were Rev. Fr. Walter Thelappilly CMI, Provincial, CMI Devamatha Province; Rev. Fr. Shaju Edamana CMI, Principal, Devamatha CMI Public School; and Rev. Dr. Paul Poovathingal CMI, Director, Chetana Sangeet Natya Academy. Through CCKK, Destination Kerala advocates the need to go beyond cheque book charity and engage business leaders and donors in a heartening initiative that is sustainable as well. The first CCKK was held in Kochi, the second in Thiruvananthapuram and the third in Kozhikode.
