Clinic for Differently Abled Children Opened at magic planet
Thiruvananthapuram: Hailing the various initiatives being undertaken by the Different Arts Centre at KINFRA Film and Video Park in Thiruvananthapuram, K K Shailaja, Minister for Health, said the Centre has set an example for the whole world by helping differently abled children.
“By helping nurture art and literary talents in differently abled children, Different Arts Centre has proved that significant improvement in the mental and intellectual capabilities of such children can be brought about,” she said while inaugurating the Empower Clinic, a healthcare centre for differently abled children at KINFRA.
The Minister said that her department considered setting up of the healthcare centre for differently abled children since there are many of them at the Different Arts Centre.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by K Sreekumar, Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Jose G D’Cruz, District Medical Officer and Gopinath Muthukad, Executive Director, Magic Academy were also present at the event.
Different Arts Centre helps close to 100 differently abled children to showcase their talents through organised shows.
The clinic will also be beneficial to similar children from outside the campus.
