Costa Cruises commences 4th India Sailing season with a larger ship Costa Victoria
Costa Cruises is the only international cruise company to home port a ship in India for the 4th season
Kochi: For more than 70 years the ships of the historic Costa Cruises brand have plied the seas of the world, offering the most diverse choice of cruise holidays with the unique Italian touch, based on Italy’s finest concept in terms of hospitality, gastronomy, style and fun.
Costa Victoria, one of the fascinating ships of the Costa fleet, arrived at Kochi recently, where it will be home ported for the 4th Indian season. The start of her Indian season was celebrated in the presence of Dr. M.Beena, Chairman Kochi Port Trust and Nalini Gupta, Managing Director, Lotus Aero Enterprises, Representative of Costa Cruise India.

Costa Victoria will commence cruises from Kochi on 13th November 2019 to 04th March 2020. This is the 4th season that Costa Cruises will be homeporting in Indian waters and is the only international cruise liner in India to offer regular cruises of 3 to 7 Nights cruise itineraries from Mumbai to Kochi, Kochi to Maldives, Mumbai to Maldives and Maldives to Mumbai, confirming its strong interest in proactively developing the Indian cruise market.
The Costa Cruise India has seen a 25% growth in the numbers emanating from Kerala. The booked clients are a combination of individual travelers and large families, but this year there have also been corporates who have booked their incentive groups on the Kochi to Maldives itinerary. This is a perfect short getaway for a traveler, who wants to get a quick glimpse of a cruise holiday. This 7-nights itinerary starts in Male, with a two-day call to enjoy at maximum the white beaches of Maldives and the coral reef. The second destination visited by this itinerary is Sri Lanka, famous for its beautiful natural trails.
