Thiruvananthapuram: After successfully establishing MRI Scan centres in Kozhikode, Thrissur, Alappuzha and Kottayamand revolutionising market rates, HLL – Hindlabs facility will be available for the residents of Thiruvananthapuram and nearby districts from Wednesday.
K K Shailaja,Minister for Health and Social Justice and Kadakamapally Surendran, Minister for Devaswom, Tourism and Cooperation will inaugurate the MRI and CT Scan Centres respectively. Scanning facilities for patients will be offered at an attractive discount rate of 60 per cent as Hindlabs, an initiative of HLL Lifecare Limited (HLL), makes functional its MRI and CT scan units at Sree Avittom Thirunal (SAT) Hospital, said R P Khandelwal, CMD,HLL. In addition to the discount, 10 per cent of BPL patients will be offered scans free of cost.
The new Hindlabs centre set up with an investment of Rs. 11.30 crore, equipped with 1.5 Tesla MRI scan machines and CT Scan with 128 slices, will provide essential diagnostic services to the patients of Medical College Hospital, SAT Hospital, Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) and other outpatients. These machines help provide reliable test results in a comparatively shorter time.
