Kochi: Reinforcing its commitment to the India market, IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of 47 flights (19 new sectors and 28 additional flights) on its network; thereby achieving 1,000 flights per day mark on December 23, 2017.
India’s best on-time performer will now operate maiden flights between Lucknow-Sharjah, Hyderabad-Sharjah, Lucknow-Srinagar, Hyderabad-Ranchi and Lucknow-Dehradun, among other routes. These flights are designed to cater to business and leisure travellers who are constantly on the lookout for new and affordable flying options. The schedule will also see additional frequencies connecting Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai with major cities including Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Kochi respectively.
Among the new flights are, 6E 0349 Kochi- Bengaluru non-stop departing Kochi at 18:05 Hrs and arriving in Bengaluru at 19:05 Hrs operating six days a week; 6E 0349 also Kochi- Bengaluru departing Kochi at 21:25 Hrs and arriving in Bengaluru at 22:40 once a week; and 6E 0571 Kochi- Chennai non-stop leaving Kochi at 13:30 Hrs to arrive in Chennai at 14:45 Hrs.
Also connecting Kochi are flight 6E 0348 leaving Bengaluru at 16:05 Hrs and arriving in Kochi at 17:10 Hrs. It is Indigo’s eighth non-stop flight between the two destinations and will operate six days a week. 6E 0348 will depart Bengaluru at 19:50 Hrs to reach Kochi at 20:55 Hrs once a week. 6E 0563 from Chennai to Kochi will depart the Tamil Nadu capital at 11:50 Hrs to reach Kochi at 13:00 Hrs. This will be Indigo’s third daily non-stop flight between the two cities.

IndiGo is India's largest airline with a market share of 38.2 per cent as of September 2017. With its fleet of 142 Airbus A320 family aircraft, the airline at present operates over 900 daily flights connecting 46 destinations.
