Thiruvananthapuram: KIMS Healthcare Group has launched a centre to provide Jaipur foot, prosthetic limbs, calipers and other similar aids free of cost to the needy across Kerala as part of its CSR activities.
KIMS-Jaipur Foot Centre, a first-of-its-kind joint venture in the State set up in collaboration with the charitable organisation Bhagavan Mahaveer Viklang Sahaya Samithi (BMVSS), aims to assist the physically challenged people of Kerala,Tamilnadu and Sri Lanka.
D R Mehta, the Founder and Chief Patron of BMVSS, inaugurated the facility at the hospital the other day in the presence of Dr. M I Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMS.
“For the time being, the centre will be able to cater to only five persons per day. But we will set up more such centres in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka at a later stage,’’ said Dr. Sahadulla speaking on the occasion.
