KINFRA Parks In Kollam District To Host More Industrial Units
KINFRA Parks in Kollam district are opening their doors to new industrial units. While the Park at Punalur is inviting new industries to set up facilities, the Park at Mundakkal will soon house a new standard design factory. A presentation on the upcoming projects was made at the Investor Meet held in association with Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) at their office in Kollam. The meet was inaugurated by Wg. Cdr. K A Santhosh Kumar, Managing Director, KINFRA and was presided by Helen Jerome, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kollam.
G Sunil, Planning and Business Development Head, KINFRA explained the facilities to be developed at the Park at Piravanthur near Punalur through a presentation. The Park at Piravanthur, established in 2013, is spread across an area of 14.33 acres and includes a standard design factory with an area of 65,000 sq.ft. The basic infra available here includes internal roads, 2.1 MLD water supply unit (KWA), 11 KV power distribution unit (KSEB), solar street lights and round the clock security.
At Mundakkal, KINFRA has seven acres of land where it proposes to develop basic infrastructure and a one-lakh-sq.ft. standard design factory to cater to non-polluting industries.
A lease deed of 30 years for the commencement of commercial production in the Park will be signed with a new entrant and the lessee will be able to renew it by remitting a processing fee. The buildings in the Park will be leased for 10 years and is renewable for up to 30 years.
