Thiruvananthapuram: Like in the previous years, Technopark witnessed grand Onam celebrations. Natana, the cultural club of Technopark, organised ‘Aarpoo... Irroo...’ festival with competitions for Onam procession, floral carpet, tug of war, best Maveli and various other traditional Onam games. Park Centre also celebrated Onam by laying a giant floral carpet. Hrishikesh Nair, CEO, IT Parks Kerala, formally kicked off the Onam celebrations at Park Centre. Prathidhwani, the socio-cultural and welfare organisation of IT employees, celebrated Onam 2017 with a ‘Rice Bucket Challenge’. Around 1,200 packets of 5-kg rice, more than 6 tonnes, were donated by techies as part of the campaign. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Cooperation and Devaswom, formally launched the distribution of rice packets to non-IT employees of Technopark.
