Port Muziris felicitated Paris Cycling Winner
Kochi: Hotel Port Muziris Kochi, Nedumbassery felicitateed Leju K D, winner of Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) international cycling ride, and the only Malayalee among the top 10 Indians. The event commenced from North Parur wherein the more than 50 members of the Muziris Cycling Club along with Leju K D ride to Port Muziris Kochi. The hotel hosted celebration for this achievement.

Paris–Brest–Paris (PBP) is a long-distance, endurance cycling event. It was originally a 1,200 km (750 mi) bicycle race from Paris to Brest and back to Paris in 1891. To qualify PBP Participants must first complete a series of brevets (randonneuring events) within the same calendar year as PBP. A series consists of 200 km, 300 km, 400 km and 600 km. Mr. Leju was qualified for this and attended the event along with other 12 Kerala-based participants.
PBP 2019 was a 1219-Kilometer event which need to be completed under 90 hrs of time. Mr. Leju KD became first Malayalee to finish PBP for this season, and the only Malayalee among the top 10 Indians. He completed the event in a 83.13 Hours. Mr Felix Augustine (Financial Consultant, Kakkanad) and Galin Abraham (Entrepreneur, North Parur) were the other two finishers from Kerala.
