UST Global Colors Lends Helping Hand to Schools, Hospital
Thiruvananthapuram: UST Global Colors, the volunteer employee programme that engages UST Global employees (USSociates) across the globe, has immersed itself in various activities at different schools and the Chest Disease Hospital at Pulayanarkotta here as part of the Gandhi Jayanti Week, from October 1 to 7.
UST Global already engages with these schools through the company’s flagship CSR programme ‘Adopt A School.’
UST Global Colors Rose members visited the Government LP School, Manalakam, and created a playground for the school. Besides, a library was also set up at the school.
At the Government LP School, Karikkakom, the UST Global team provided three computers, and also created a blog site for the school. The students and staff were trained to maintain the blog. These apart, the UST Global team also participated in the school’s Onam celebrations, and conducted a presentation contest.
The UST Global Colors Rose team also visited the Government LP School, Puthenthope and took up efforts such as ID card distribution, creation of a vegetable and flower garden, and more. The team is already organising a weekly session on Spoken English for students.
UST Global Colors Rose team also visited the Chest Disease Hospital at Pulayanarkotta on October 2. The visit was in continuation of the support provided to the hospital during Onam and Gandhi Jayanthi every year.
